Introduction
Professional Membership is designed for professional nurses (e.g., registered nurses) who have completed either an Associate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree, or higher in nursing.
Members participate in advancing diagnosis-centered clinical reasoning and the development of structured nursing knowledge that strengthens assessment, diagnostic accuracy, patient goals and outcomes, and nursing actions across diverse healthcare systems.
Through active engagement in committees, research initiatives, and classification development, Professional Members help ensure that nursing knowledge remains visible, evidence-informed, and globally relevant.

Professional Members are voting members of INKA.
They are eligible to:
- Vote in INKA business meetings
- Vote on bylaws
- Vote for officers and committee chairs
- Run for INKA office or a position on the Board of Directors

- Serve as Global Network Group Coordinators
Professional Membership provides a direct voice in shaping the direction of nursing knowledge development and organizational leadership.
Membership Duration
Professional Membership is a two-year membership term.
Membership fees follow INKA’s three-tier pricing structure aligned with World Bank national income classifications. Final pricing is determined during checkout based on country category.
