Objectives
The INKA (formerly known as NANDA® International) Network Group: Italy brings together Italian nurses who recognize the importance of standardized nursing diagnosis language in improving quality of care and enhancing patient safety through evidence-based practice. The group supports the application, dissemination, discussion, and integration of nursing diagnoses in clinical, educational, and research settings across Italy.
Its core objectives include:
- Promoting the use of standardized nursing diagnosis classification in both nursing education and clinical practice
- Strengthening nursing process competencies, especially clinical reasoning and documentation of human responses
- Supporting diffusion of best practices in diagnosis implementation and research
- Facilitating collaboration among nurses in diverse roles and settings These efforts enhance Italy’s contributions to global nursing knowledge.

The INKA Network Group: Italy is composed of professional nurses working in clinical practice, education, and research who share a commitment to advancing assessment-driven, diagnosis-centered nursing knowledge. Members understand that standardized nursing diagnoses improve the precision of clinical judgments, strengthen interdisciplinary communication, and support safe, measurable nursing care.
The group operates as part of INKA’s global network, creating opportunities for professional exchange and mutual support among Italian nurses interested in advancing nursing diagnosis practice.
