Objectives

The INKA (formerly known as NANDA® International) Network Group: German-Speaking Countries supports nurses in German-speaking regions by promoting the use, understanding, and visibility of standardized, assessment-driven nursing diagnoses in clinical practice, education, and research. The group advances nursing diagnosis knowledge within the shared context of German linguistic and professional cultures, strengthening nurses’ ability to articulate clinical judgments and document human responses to health conditions.

Core objectives include facilitating collaboration among German-speaking nurses, sharing experiences in the application of assessment-driven, diagnosis-centered clinical reasoning, and supporting the development and dissemination of evidence-based nursing diagnosis practices. The group also encourages professional dialogue and exchange across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to enhance nursing visibility and impact in health care.

About Us

As part of the global INKA community, the group functions as a collaborative forum for exchanging best practices, clinical insights, educational strategies, and research initiatives related to the use of assessment-driven nursing diagnoses.

Members engage in shared learning, professional discussion, and peer support to enhance the understanding and application of standardized, assessment-driven nursing diagnosis classification within their respective care environments. The group’s commitment to knowledge exchange strengthens nursing practice across regions while building meaningful connections among German-speaking nurses.
