Introduction
Nursing Institution Membership is available to nursing and healthcare organizations, including healthcare systems, universities and other educational institutions, nursing membership organizations, and research centers.
Through this membership, institutions engage directly in the advancement of assessment-driven, diagnosis-centered clinical reasoning and standardized nursing language. Institutional members support the use of a comprehensive, holistic patient assessment based on a nursing framework, the integration of nursing diagnoses, patient goals and outcomes, and nursing actions across education, practice, research, and digital systems.
Each Institutional Membership includes five Professional Memberships. These are designated individuals identified by the organization who receive full Professional Member benefits, including voting rights and eligibility to serve in governance roles.
This structure ensures that institutional engagement translates into active professional participation.
Highlights Include
- Five Professional Memberships (voting members) designated by the Nursing Institution
- Access to the digital version of NANDA Nursing Diagnoses: Definitions & Classification for these five members
- One INKA Conference registration (assigned to one of the five designated members, as designated by the Institution)
- Sponsorship booth at the INKA international conference (for the organization)
- 25% discount on additional Regular Professional Memberships for members in the same organization for the next two years
- Access to member resources supporting education, research, and implementation
