NANDA-I is very happy to announce the finalization of groundbreaking research agreements with two esteemed institutions: The Secretaria de Saúde Pública do Rio Grande do Norte, Brasil (SESAP/RN – the Public Health Ministry of Rio Grande of the North, Brasil), and the OPI Roma Ordine delle Professioni Infermieristiche di Roma, Italy (The Order of Professional Nurses of Rome, Italy).
These strategic partnerships mark a significant milestone for NANDA-I as they facilitate the use of NANDA-I’s classification system in these regions. In return, NANDA-I gains access to secure, de-identified data that is critical for various research endeavors. The collaborative research will be conducted as joint projects between NANDA-I and these bodies or by NANDA-I independently.
Another benefit of these collaborations is that they enhance our capacity to identify and address key issues of importance using clinical data. By collaborating with SESAP/RN and OPI Roma, we can further our mission to refine nursing terminology, ultimately strengthening our classification systems globally.
These critical agreements represent a pioneering step for NANDA-I and are the first of their kind, setting the groundwork for future collaborations. They not only support our ongoing efforts to enrich the research base of our Classification but also broaden the geographic and contextual understanding of nursing diagnostics across different clinical settings worldwide.
This move signifies a progressive leap into diversified data collection from various geographic locations, thereby bolstering our global influence and understanding in diverse clinical environments. By improving access to our classification system, we aim to increase its efficacy and relevance across international frontiers.
