We are pleased to welcome three distinguished colleagues to the NANDA-I Board of Directors, the governing body that oversees our Association’s strategic direction and administrative policies.
Dr. Fábio D’Agostino (Rome) joins us as Secretary-Treasurer of the Board. His research and leadership in standardized nursing terminology have made significant contributions to our field. As Secretary-Treasurer, Dr. D’Agostino will play a key role on our board.
Dr. Marcos Venicius Lopes (Brasil) steps into the role of Director of Research, following his valuable service as a committee member. His scholarship, particularly in clinical validation of nursing diagnoses, has become a model for researchers worldwide. In his new position, he will help guide NANDA-I’s research initiatives and contribute to our evidence-based approaches.
Dr. Miriam Rodriguez Monforte (Spain) is currently our Secretary-Treasurer at NANDA-I and will become our President-Elect in the new term. Her research, tenure with our organization, and extensive leadership skills will continue to elevate NANDA-I. We are honored to have her on our board in this important position.
The NANDA-I Board of Directors serves as the custodian of our Association’s property, securities, and records. Board members work together to implement our strategic plan and advance the development of standardized nursing diagnostic terminology. They provide regular updates to our membership and ensure proper management of Association resources.
Our new and experienced Board members bring valuable expertise that will help strengthen NANDA-I’s work. Their appointments come at an important time as we continue to expand our global influence in nursing diagnosis and standardized terminology.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. D’Agostino and Dr. Lopes to their new roles on the Board of Directors, and congratulating Dr. Rodriguez Monforte on her new position!
