This distinguished recognition is presented by our Board of Directors to individuals who have made lasting, internationally-reaching contributions to nursing diagnosis through education, implementation, development, research, and/or informatics applications.
Congratulations, Dr. Claudia Leoni-Scheiber
We are delighted to honor Dr. Claudia Leoni-Scheiber as this year’s recipient. Dr. Leoni-Scheiber serves as a Senior Scientist at UMIT TIROL, the Private University for Health Sciences and Health Technology of the Province of Tyrol in Austria. Her leadership extends to heading a Master’s program in Health and Nursing Management at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences.
With a background as a registered nurse specializing in intensive care, Dr. Leoni-Scheiber has been deeply involved in nursing training since 2000. Her work focuses primarily on the advanced nursing process, including standardized nursing languages (SNLs) and their corresponding training methods.
Her expertise and leadership in the field are further demonstrated through her roles as the current President of the ACENDIO Board, where she previously served as Vice President, and her former position as Network Coordinator for the NANDA-I Network Group: German Speaking Countries.
As an organization committed to developing, refining, and promoting terminology that accurately reflects nurses’ clinical judgments, we recognize Dr. Leoni-Scheiber’s significant contributions to our field. Her work aligns perfectly with our mission to facilitate the development and global adoption of standardized nursing diagnostic terminology.
