Objectives

The INKA (formerly known as NANDA® International) Network Group: Ecuador was established in 2012 to promote the use of a standardized nursing diagnosis language that contributes to improving the quality of care and ensures patient safety for individuals, families, and communities across Ecuador. The group supports the development, refinement, dissemination, and use of nursing diagnoses aligned with the classification maintained by INKA.

A primary objective of the network is to facilitate evidence-based nursing practice by encouraging the integration of nursing diagnoses into clinical reasoning, education, and research. Members collaborate to strengthen nurses’ competence in applying nursing diagnoses to guide care planning, documentation, and decision-making, ultimately enhancing the visibility and impact of nursing practice within the health system.

About Us

The INKA Network Group: Ecuador represents nursing professionals who share a commitment to advancing standardized nursing diagnoses in clinical practice, education, and research. Since its establishment in 2012, the group has served as a forum for collaboration among nurses dedicated to improving patient outcomes through assessment-driven, diagnosis-centered nursing knowledge.

The network fosters academic exchange, supports professional development, and encourages the use of evidence-based diagnostic language.
