Objectives

The INKA (formerly known as NANDA® International)  Network Group: Peru aims to strengthen clinical reasoning and professional nursing practice within Peru’s public health system through the updated and rigorous use of assessment-driven nursing diagnoses aligned with the NANDA 360 classification maintained by INKA.

The group promotes a comprehensive and systematic assessment of human responses across all levels of care, supporting safe, ethical, and high-quality nursing practice. In addition, the INKA Network Group: Peru encourages continuous professional development, academic exchange, and improved clinical decision-making, in alignment with national regulations and the health needs of the Peruvian population.

Through collaboration, education, and shared practice experience, the group contributes to strengthening nursing identity and advancing diagnosis-centered nursing knowledge within Peru.

About Us

The INKA Network Group: Peru is a network group composed of nurses working within Peru’s public health system who share a commitment to strengthening clinical reasoning and professional nursing practice.

The group provides a space for academic exchange, analysis of clinical practice experiences, and ongoing professional development focused on the accurate identification of human responses to health conditions. Members engage in reflective discussion and shared learning related to the use of assessment-driven nursing diagnoses aligned with the NANDA 360 classification.

The INKA Network Group: Peru is oriented toward improving nursing care quality across different levels of care, supporting ethical practice, patient safety, and sound clinical judgment. Through collective learning and collaboration, the group seeks to enhance diagnostic accuracy, strengthen professional decision-making, and reinforce the role of nursing within the Peruvian health system.

Events and Courses

The INKA Network Group: Peru promotes academic and professional activities related to assessment-driven nursing diagnosis and clinical reasoning, including:

  • Academic events focused on the application of assessment-driven nursing diagnoses in clinical practice within the public health system
  • Educational meetings and training sessions aimed at strengthening clinical reasoning and accurate formulation of assessment-driven nursing diagnoses

Mg. Elver Luyo Valera
Coordinator, INKA Network Group: Peru

Elver Luyo Valera is a licensed nurse with a master’s degree in Public Health and specialization in Emergencies and Disasters. He has extensive experience in the Nursing Process and is an active advocate for the standardized use of nursing language to strengthen the formulation of assessment-driven nursing diagnoses aligned with the NANDA 360 classification.

He has more than 21 years of experience as an educator, teaching courses related to quality of care, nursing methodology, and nursing processes, as well as providing clinical care in emergency and disaster settings. He has participated actively in national academic events as a presenter and coordinator, promoting clinical reasoning and diagnostic precision.

His work integrates nursing education with clinical practice across both institutional and community levels of Peru’s public health system.

The INKA Network Group: Peru aspires to be a national reference group for strengthening clinical reasoning and professional nursing practice through the rigorous and up-to-date use of assessment-driven nursing diagnoses aligned with the NANDA 360 classification.

The group seeks to contribute to continuous improvement in the quality of nursing care within Peru’s public health system by promoting comprehensive assessment, accurage diagnosis, and well-grounded clinical decision-making. The INKA Network Group: Peru aims to consolidate an academic and practice-based network that supports ongoing professional development, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of standardized nursing language, strengthening professional identity and nursing’s impact on health care delivery.
