Three NANDA-I opportunities will close their nomination windows in December. We urge you to take action if you are interested in participating (or nominating someone) for one of these areas.

NANDA-I Leadership Positions (Deadline December 15)

We are still accepting nominations for individuals interested in joining our esteemed NANDA-I Board and committees. Open positions include:

  • President-Elect
  • Secretary/Treasurer
  • Director of Research
  • Chair of the Nominations Committee
  • Chair of the Bylaws Committee

Additionally, we are seeking 3-5 members to join both the Nominations and Bylaws Committees.

NANDA-I Board of Directors: Roles and Responsibilities

The NANDA International Board of Directors is responsible for establishing administrative policies that govern the Association’s affairs. The Board develops and implements a strategic plan to achieve the Association’s goals and presents a biennial report to the membership during regular meetings.

As custodians of the Association’s property, securities, and records, the Board ensures an annual audit of the Association’s books, provides for bonding of Board officials as necessary, and manages the payment of authorized expenses.

Nominations Committee: Key Functions

The Nominations Committee plays a crucial role by soliciting nominations from the membership for the Board of Directors’ officers and voting members, as well as chairpersons and members of the Bylaws and Nominations Committees. The committee manages the nomination application process, reviews applicants’ qualifications as per Association policies, prepares the ballot, and collaborates with the Program Assistant to conduct voting.

Bylaws Committee: Essential Duties

The Bylaws Committee is integral to maintaining the relevance of the Association’s Bylaws. This committee reviews and revises the Bylaws, solicits suggestions from the membership, drafts revisions, and submits updates for Board review. The Bylaws are reviewed at least every two years to ensure they remain current and effective.
