Have you noticed all of the NANDA-I Network Groups? We have exciting news to share!
This year, we have proudly added groups from Iran and Bolivia, expanding our reach to a total of nine international groups that actively work to promote the mission and work of NANDA-I. These groups play a vital role in connecting professionals worldwide, fostering collaboration and the sharing of valuable insights.
History of Network Groups
NANDA-I began to allow NANDA-I Network Groups in 2016 in response to requests from members in many countries. Our members expressed a growing need for a local chapter or group that could serve as a vibrant meeting space to share ideas, projects, research, and teaching methods.
To accommodate this demand, in 2018, the NANDA-I Bylaws were thoughtfully amended to incorporate these Network Groups. Along with this, rules were established to protect against unauthorized use of our work, logo, and publications, ensuring the integrity and consistency of our brand.
What Are NANDA-I Network Groups?
Network Groups provide a structured framework for NANDA-I members to nurture the work of NANDA-I and promote membership within a country, region, language, or clinical specialty. Each Network Group must designate a Coordinator, who is a regular member of NANDA-I, to serve as the crucial liaison between the Network Group and the Board of Directors. This role is pivotal in maintaining alignment with our goals and ensuring effective communication.
The Coordinator must be voted upon by the members at least every two years, and no coordinator can serve more than two terms. This democratic process ensures fresh perspectives and leadership continuity. Network Groups take the initiative to coordinate seminars for members and collaborate with other Network Groups to address shared areas of interest, enhancing the collective knowledge base.
