More than a Language… NANDA-I International Conference
The NANDA-I Conference, titled “More than a Language: Nursing Diagnosis Communicating Health and the Human Experience”, on June 16-17, 2021 offered networking, education, and many scholarly presentations. Via a virtual format (a first time for NANDA-I), nurses joined together from across the globe. Over 20 countries were represented by conference participants.
Highlights from the conference included NANDA-I President Carme Espinosa’s warm welcome to conference attendees and sharing the strategic vision for NANDA-I, updates from NANDA-I Directors on news & accomplishments of the organization over the past two years, keynote addresses from nursing experts – Drs. Peggy Chinn, Connie Delaney, Laura Rossi, and Prof. Carme Espinosa – scholarly presentations on research with nursing diagnosis and standardized language, and updates on new developments in NANDA-I terminology (nursing diagnoses). The keynote sessions and main presentations were recorded and will be available via archive soon.
We look forward to an in-person NANDA-I conference in 2023, which will celebrate NANDA-I’s 50th Anniversary. Keep an eye on the website for news on dates and themes in the near future!
