Summer Greetings
I am here enjoying the Mediterranean Sea while thinking about next season… September is
coming.
And I am really excited about the future!
NANDA-I is moving forward with a lot of action!
Our DDC is hectic, as they are working on submissions for new and revised nursing diagnoses,
reviewing existing nursing diagnoses to improve levels of evidence, helping researchers in their
efforts with their research on new diagnoses, and improving the taxonomy.
The Research task force couldn’t be busier, as its members are working to re-slot existing
nursing diagnoses using the new level of evidence criteria, while assisting DDC with the task of
assigning level of evidence to new nursing diagnoses as they are approved.
The Informatics task force continues its effort to map NANDA-I terms to SNOMED-CT, while the
Education and Clinical innovation task force is focusing on designing new educational
experiences….
The Gordon program at Boston College continues with our post-Doctoral education, and the
online course is waiting for more participants to enroll (in English, Spanish, and Portuguese).
Meanwhile, the Executive committee tries to make everything work smoothly, and is pondering
new ideas to disseminate the NANDA-I message further.
In the next few months, you will be hearing a lot more from us! And we want to hear from you,
