Recommended Reading: Identifying Nursing Diagnoses in a Vulnerable Population
We are pleased to share about a recent article published in our journal, the International Journal of Nursing Knowledge. It’s titled “Cross-mapping Medical Records to NANDA-I to Identify Nursing Diagnoses in a Vulnerable Population.”
Researchers from the Canary Islands in Spain looked at the cross-mapping method and its use in generating diagnostic information related to care needs and expected associations between high social vulnerability and those care needs.
Their research suggests that identifying nursing diagnoses at the population level will allow nurses to find more prevalent needs in different community groups and to focus on appropriate nursing interventions for their implementation and impact assessment.
