Diversity & Inclusion Committee:
Ensures that NANDA-I classification and NANDA-I educational products address the needs of individuals from underserved/underrepresented communities who might be overlooked in regard to their biopsychosocial and spiritual well-being. The duties of the standing committee include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the NANDA-I classification, and educational materials produced by NANDA-I, include the needs of underserved/underrepresented communities (racial, ethnic, and LGBTQ+ communities) in relation to their biopsychosocial and spiritual well-being.
- Create or contribute to NANDA-I educational materials that have a direct or indirect relationship with underserved/underrepresented communities, to ensure they are inclusive and contribute to the biopsychosocial and spiritual well-being of the underserved/underrepresented.
- Gain naturally global recognition in terms of nursing care using validated terminologies in regards to health issues that have a direct and indirect impact in underserved/underrepresented communities.
