Abstract Submissions Under Review
We are thrilled to announce that the number of abstracts submitted this year has exceeded our expectations! With so much interest, we understand the eagerness surrounding the results, so we want to provide clarity on the review process.
The abstracts will undergo a meticulous review process overseen by an international panel of experts. Under the leadership of Dr. Sílvia Caldeira, the Research Committee has identified these reviewers, ensuring each abstract is reviewed by individuals with relevant expertise. All abstracts will be distributed accordingly.
Each abstract will be subject to a blinded review by two reviewers to ensure impartiality. If there is a notable discrepancy in their evaluations, a third reviewer will be called upon to make the final decision. This rigorous process ensures that the highest standards of quality and relevance are maintained.
Reviewers will have six weeks to complete their evaluations, after which the Research Director will compile and report the findings to the 2025 Scientific Committee. This committee will then integrate the selected abstracts into the conference schedule.
We anticipate notifying all submitters of their results by the end of January 2025.
