Celebrating Our Founders & Our Award Recipients
The recent NANDA-I Conference not only marked a significant milestone in our organization’s history – its 50th anniversary – but also provided an opportunity to pay tribute to our founders and acknowledge exceptional individuals who have made substantial contributions to nursing diagnoses.
Celebrating Our Founders
During the event, we honored our visionary founders – Drs. Kristine Gebbie and Mary Ann Lavin. In recognition of their extraordinary accomplishments, we decided to rename our Founder’s Award to the “Dr. Kristine Gebbie and Dr. Mary Ann Lavin Founder’s Award.” This accolade serves as a testament to the lasting impact they have made on education, implementation, development, research, and informatics applications of nursing diagnoses.
