The NANDA Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organization that exists to promote nursing science research specifically in the areas of critical thinking, standardized nursing languages, and their development and implementation.
The Foundation is critical for supporting nursing knowledge and the future of nursing! Its overall mission is to enhance efforts to develop standardized language for nursing and its implementation globally.
Upcoming Grant Cycle
We will be opening applications for grants and scholarships this fall! At our 2025 International Conference, the NANDA Foundation will award winners, who will use the funds to research projects related to NANDA-I or knowledge development within nursing.
How You Can Support the Foundation
The only way the Foundation can continue to provide grants is to raise money that supports its work! We would also like to expand our ability to fund more research projects globally.

If you’ve been a recipient of a NANDA Foundation grant, would you consider paying it forward? Making a contribution to our foundation is hugely beneficial and allows you to help other nurses who are doing important research, just like you.
